Our History

1999

THE BEGINNING

At Bandit Energy, our story began with a group of highly motivated individuals laying the groundwork for the thriving company we are today. Established in the vibrant City of Lloydminster, our journey started with a focus on pipeline construction, providing essential services to the energy sector.

Our inaugural fleet featured iconic equipment such as the JD 650 sideboom, a fixture proudly displayed in front of our shop along Highway 16. Our initial lineup also included the reliable JD 690 excavator, the versatile JD 770 grader, and the enduring 1976 Chev crew cab. These humble beginnings reflect our commitment to excellence and innovation, setting the stage for the dynamic energy solutions we continue to deliver.

2006

BANDIT EXCAVATING

In 2006, Bandit Energy Services took a significant step forward by introducing Bandit Excavating, a subsidiary dedicated to providing services such as civil water and sewer services. This strategic expansion not only diversified their portfolio but also showcased their adaptability and commitment to quality, safety, and innovation. It allowed them to establish themselves as a trusted leader in both the energy and civil services industries, meeting the evolving needs of their clients while upholding their reputation for excellence.

2013

INTRODUCING PLANT MAINTENANCE

In 2013 Bandit Energy introduced Plant Maintenance to our services. We offer a wide variety of maintenance services including inspections, testing, repair, replacement and winterization work. We work in upstream and downstream facilities of all sizes and have extensive experience during live operations as well as plant outages and turnarounds.

2014

THE WORKSHOP

In 2014, we established our current workshop, a pivotal milestone in our journey, providing a robust and modern facility to support our operations and growth at Bandit Energy.

2016

BANDIT PIPELINE TO BANDIT ENERGY

In June 2016, we underwent a strategic shift, transitioning from Bandit Pipeline to Bandit Energy, signaling our commitment to a broader scope of energy solutions.

Concurrently, we expanded our operations to encompass Weyburn, SK, further solidifying our presence in key regions and enhancing our capacity to meet diverse energy needs.

2020

THE MAURADER

In 2020 Bandit introduced a one-of-a-kind vibratory plow capable of installing many different types and combinations of material, including composite, poly, and cable.

Due to the narrow profile and vibratory function of the plow sheer, the “Marauder” can install materials more efficiently and with less environmental impact than conventional plowing.

2023

ACQUISTION OF BPC DIRECTIONAL

Strategic growth has defined our journey at Bandit Energy, marked by the acquisition of BPC Directional Drilling, fortifying our capabilities with a comprehensive range of trenchless equipment and extensive field expertise.

To further enhance our operational prowess, we proudly opened a new state-of-the-art Fabrication Facility in Lloydminster. Reflecting our commitment to sustainability and innovation, Bandit Energy has also expanded into Renewable Resources, shaping a dynamic future in the ever-evolving energy landscape

Why Choose Us.

The Bandit Difference
If you choose Bandit Energy Services, you have chosen a partner. We pride ourselves on completing every project on time and on budget. All of our field management teams are experienced and have the knowledge to complete numerous projects. We also have a corporate management team that is willing to help our field management teams at the drop of a hat. We encourage our crews to involve our clients in problem solving, and the process of working together. Over the past decade and hundreds of Kilometers of pipeline installed we have learned these things.

HONESTY & RESPONSIBILITY prevail in all circumstances. I was given some good advice by someone who had “been there and done that” and I have implemented our business to mirror their sentiments.
